Cup Challenge 2016

With spectacular November weather, the 14th Annual CharityWorks® Cup Challenge presented golf at its best. We raised $24,600, net of expenses to support our GIVE HOPE USA® wellness-medical aid program. During the holiday season, this helps us to serve additional underprivileged children and adults in the Tampa Bay area. Program distributions include personal hygiene products and other special gifts through a network of participating nonprofits.

We are thankful for all of our sponsors, including our Co-Host sponsors, Bright House Networks/ Spectrum and PENSERVCO. Also, special thanks for the dedicated work of our Committee Chairman, Bill Moore and Emcee/Auctioneer, Dick Crippen, Senior Advisor of Tampa Bay Rays. We are indebted to many volunteers, in-kind donors, PGA Golf Pro, Jim Slattery, and his team at the Belleair Country Club for another enjoyable tournament. Congratulations to Spectrum’s Brian Aungst, who was honored as our 2016 GIVE HOPE USA® program “Ambassador.”

Also, congratulations to Spectrum, winner of this year’s CharityWorks® Tampa Bay Championship Cup from a field of 28 sponsored teams. The foursome of Craig Vanasse, Danny Awad, Mark Kowalski and Dana Awad captured the elegant Waterford crystal trophy which will be displayed in Spectrum’s St. Petersburg office for one year.
